Create an adhoc activity

If you would like to create an adhoc or last minute activity (eg A lunch time group run), then there are two ways to achieve this:

  1. Create a new event, with the sport and location set and rely on nearby users event alert notifications. This will match users with event alerts enabled and having the event sport configured in their profile
  2. Have an existing event setup with members, adding a new manual activity to the schedule. The system will generate the activity, which in turn will send a notification to all members with details of the new activity

1. Create a New Event

Create a new event from the Event List page (available on the bottom nav)

  1. Provide a title
  2. Select the sport and variation (only sports setup in your profile are available for selection)
  3. Optionally set a capacity, gender and age
  4. Set any secuirty options
  5. Select Next to move to the Schedule tab
  6. Expand the Manual schedule dropdown
  7. Add an instance for the desired date and time
  8. Add any members and set a location
  9. Save the event
  10. Any members you added will receive a notification with the new activity
  11. Other users with event alerting with the sport configured on their profile, near the location will receive a notification for the new event

2. Update an Existing Event

If you have an expired event, you will be able to find it from the Managed Events link on your profile page. Note you need to be an admin to update the schedule for an event.

  1. Edit the event
  2. Update the schedule with the new activity
  3. Save the event
  4. Any members will receive a notification with the new activity
