Setup a recurring activity

If you have a regular weekly activity with the same group of people, you can setup an Event in Sports HQ that will automatically generate an activity each week. This allows you to easily coordinate the group, with alerts on creation, attendance confirmation and reminders.

1. Create an Event

Create a new event from the Event List page (available on the bottom nav)

  1. Provide a title
  2. Select the sport and variation (only sports setup in your profile are available for selection)
  3. Optionally set a capacity, gender and age
  4. Set any secuirty options
  5. Select Next to move to the Schedule tab
  6. Expand the Generated schedule dropdown
  7. Select the number of weeks in advance you would like to generate activities
  8. Select the day(s) and add an entry and duration for the days you would like to add an activity
  9. Note the event displays the lsit of activities it will generate based on the current schedule settings at the very bottom of the page

2. Add Members and Location

Any members added to an event will be automatically be propagated to any of its child activities. This also applies for any retrospectively added members

  1. Add members to the event
  2. Set your activity location
  3. Save the event
  4. The event will now be visible in the event list for all members

3. Do you need to update an activity date / time?

If we need to update any detail on an activity instance (eg need to reschedule to another time), then we can do so quickly from the event detail page

  1. Swipe the activity in question to expose the options
  2. Select the edit options
  3. Update and save the required detail
  4. Confirmed users will receive a notification informing them of updates
  5. Also note the cancel option, this will cancel the activity instance and notify any confirmed members

4. Confirm Attendance

Any members will be able to confirm or decline activity attendance from the event list page

  1. Users can click on the event card from their event list page
  2. Users select the Decline / Confirm icon buttons to confirm attendance
  3. Select the capacity status icon to view member status
  4. Admins can send reminder notifications to any pending members
